Hi there,
At age 12 I read the Diary of Anne Frank. It rocked me to the core. I couldn’t believe a child could write her own story. And that her commitment and attitude kept her sane in an in unthinkable time. I was terrified of death and it struck me that writing was the key to immortality.
So I started keeping a journal and I keep one to this day. Poetry is my first love. Poetry is a little bit like the awkward cousin that not everyone gets. It’s able to distill a moment sometimes even better than a photograph can.
Over the years, writing has found its way into many different parts of my creative life: poetry, speeches, songs, ceremony, storytelling, interviews, books and copywriting.
I work with people and organizations who have something they want to say but aren’t quite sure how to say it.
Coaching
I provide personalized coaching to help university students navigate academics, career planning, confidence, and the transition into university life.
Copyrighting
I write warm, engaging copy that sounds like a real person – not a marketing department.
My experience includes writing copy and promotional material for choirs, musicians and creative organizations, as well as bios, program material and other projects.
Collaboration
Some of my favourite work happens in collaboration.
I’ve contributed stories, interviews, poetry, songs and creative pieces to collaborative projects, including choir family books, music projects and bespoke creative work.
Speeches
I write personal speeches for meaningful occasions – helping people find the words to tell a story, honour someone, celebrate a milestone or simply say what they want to say.
Bespoke Writing
Sometimes the right words need to be written just for one person.
I’ve created bespoke poems, blessings, stories and keepsake books for weddings, birthdays, retirements and other important moments.
