Inner Landscapes
I rarely set out to paint something in particular. Colour speaks to me first, and then form comes into play.
I have made art my whole life. My mother is an illustrator and stained-glass window designer, and I attended a Waldorf school for most of my education. I was, in many ways, groomed to be a creative.
The making of visual art is deeply therapeutic for me. It helps me regulate my nervous system. The energy is one of peace and discovery. Somehow, part of the puzzle within me is found, emotional resolution appears, and some mystery is illuminated.
If I gave a name to the art I make, I would call it Inner Landscape.

Visual Art
Original artwork, commissions and creative projects.
Recent travels to Cuba and Santa Fe opened up new techniques and ways of working. I often begin with a watercolour wash or base, using broad strokes. Once it dries, I return with fine-tip ink pens. I’ve been particularly enchanted by the results of metallic ink.

Spoken Word
Poetry is at the heart of my spoken-word work.
My pieces have been performed solo, with musical guests and alongside vocal improvisation. I’ve performed at Songroots Camp, Mission Folk Music Festival, Moscrop English classes and other community and arts events.
Selected pieces include Flickering, Stay Golden and Welcome to our Potluck, as well as spoken-word work incorporated into music.
