JACINDA OLDALE

On September 7th, 2024, my husband Leon celebrated 28 years of marriage. We met when I was four and he was six. We lived on a communal property, a bio dynamic farm. My mom was vigilant about my diet, which meant no refined foods, including sugar. Leon got sweets on Saturdays—affectionally known as candy-day. He would always save some for me. And that’s how our dynamic began! He’s still kind & generous, but I’m now the sweet-tooth.

I am an artist whose first medium is words. I’m a published poet, recording vocal artist and songwriter in Vancouver’s folk soul band Raw Honey and the one and only Foodoula (“So Mama Eats First”).

These are some of the ways in which I nourish my community and share my gifts. I write (and sing) for both CitySoul and Rhythm ’n’ Roots Choirs, and have co-emcee’d at Mission Folk Music Festival.

I received my certification as a Life-Cycle Celebrant specializing in Weddings from the Celebrant Institute and Foundation in 2023, and am also an ordained Reverend of Metaphysics, permitting me to legally solemnize weddings.

I look forward to speaking to you soon and offer a 20 min complimentary phone consultation to anyone interested in knowing more. Please take a moment to check out my general package options.
